Danone Names New CEO for Its Largest Business

Danone SA said Tuesday that it has named a new head for its
North America business and that it aims to grow sales of
plant-based products worldwide to 5 billion euros ($5.46 billion)
by 2025.
The French consumer-goods company named Shane Grant executive
vice president and chief executive of Danone North America,
effective May 11. He will join the company's executive committee
and lead Danone's North America essential dairy and plant based
(EDP) business, which is Danone's largest business.
Mr. Grant was previously president of Coca-Cola Co North
America's still-beverages business unit.
The company added that it aims to grow its global plant-based
sales to about EUR5 billion in 2025 from EUR2 billion in 2019.
Francisco Camacho was appointed leader of Danone's plant-based
acceleration unit on top of his current role as executive VP of EDP
International.
