("Qudian" or the "Company") (NYSE: QD), a leading technology
platform empowering the enhancement of online consumer finance
experience in China, today
announced that the Company has completed the cancellation
of US$195 million worth of its outstanding American
depositary shares ("ADSs") representing its Class A ordinary shares
(the "Shares"). A total of 26,169,241 ADSs were cancelled,
effective November 25, 2019.
The cancelled ADSs were previously purchased under Qudian's
share repurchase program announced on August
23, 2019 and represent approximately 10% of the outstanding
shares of the company.
