THE UNITE GROUP PLC
('Unite Students', 'Unite', the 'Group', or the 'Company')
DIVIDEND DECLARATION
The Board of The Unite Group plc has declared a dividend of 12
pence per Ordinary Share in respect of the year ended 31 December
2016, payable on 19 May 2017 to Ordinary Shareholders on the
register on 21 April 2017.
Shareholders are now advised that the dividend will be paid as
follows:
-- 10 pence (83%) will comprise a property income distribution
("PID"). The PID will be subject to a deduction of a 20% UK
withholding tax unless exemptions apply
-- 2 pence (17%) will comprise a non-PID. The non-PID will be
treated as an ordinary UK company dividend, with no withholding tax
deducted
The key dates in relation to the payment of the dividend, as
announced on 22 February 2017, remain unchanged.
