Redemption of GBP600,000,000 perpetual preferred callable
capital securities (the "Capital Securities") issued by Legal &
General Group Plc
Legal & General Group Plc has today given notice in
accordance with Condition 7(b) of the Terms and Conditions of the
Capital Securities that, on 2 May 2017, it will redeem the Capital
Securities at the redemption price of the principal amount per
Capital Security, together with GBP1,596.25 per Capital Security in
accrued but unpaid interest payable thereon up to but excluding 2
May 2017. Following such redemption, there will be no Capital
Securities outstanding.
Legal & General Group Plc has applied to the Financial
Conduct Authority, in its capacity as the United Kingdom Listing
Authority, to cancel the listing of the Capital Securities on the
Official List of the United Kingdom Listing Authority, with effect
from (and including) 2 May 2017.
