UBS Group AG's David Chin is leaving his role as head of China
at the bank, and will be replaced by Eugene Qian.
Mr. Chin will focus on his existing role as head of Asia Pacific
for UBS's investment bank, according to an internal memo sent
Thursday and seen by Dow Jones Newswires.
The Swiss lender named Mr. Qian as the new China country head as
of July 1. Over the past two years, he worked closely with Mr. Chin
on executing UBS's China strategy. This included raising the bank's
stake in UBS Securities, its Chinese joint venture, following an
easing of restrictions on foreign investments in the country.
