Intel Expanding Paid Leave Benefits

Intel Corp. (INTC) said it is expanding its paid leave
benefits.
"Beginning Jan. 1, 2020, Intel is expanding U.S. paid leave
benefits to better support employees during life's critical
moments," the semiconductor company said in a release Tuesday
morning.
The company will offer paid leave for up to eight weeks to care
for a seriously ill family member.
Paid bonding leave for new parents will be expanded from eight
to 12 weeks. New parents may work a part-time schedule with
full-time pay for up to four weeks. Parents who opt in also will
receive a gift.
Intel said it will also provide breast milk shipping at no
cost.
The company is expanding paid time off for bereavement to up to
two weeks.
Short-term disability coverage, which includes pregnancy,
approximates regular pay for up to 52 weeks and will be provided at
no cost, Intel said.
