AT&T to Hold 2004 Annual Meeting in Austin, Texas 
 
    BEDMINSTER, N.J., Jan. 28 -- AT&T announced today that Austin, Texas will be 
the site of AT&T's 2004 Annual Meeting of Shareowners. 
    AT&T's 119th Annual Meeting will be held at the Austin Convention Center, 
in Austin, Texas, on May 19, 2004, beginning at 9:30 a.m. local time.  This 
will be the company's first annual meeting held in Austin. 
    AT&T has more than 2,300 employees and approximately 49,000 shareowners in 
the state of Texas. 
    AT&T expects to begin mailing its proxy statement for the shareowner 
meeting along with the company's 2003 annual report on or about March 25, 
2004. Shareowners of record at the close of business on March 25, 2004 (record 
date) are entitled to vote at the annual meeting.
