CHICAGO, Oct. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Hireology, the
nation's leading integrated hiring and talent management platform
and the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), which
represents more than 16,500 franchised new-car and truck dealers in
the U.S., last week announced a strategic relationship to provide
education and training for NADA members in human capital management
(HCM). Through the relationship, Hireology and NADA will jointly
form HCM 20-Groups and Hireology is now the exclusive recruiting
and hiring technology collaborator for NADA.
Hireology and NADA will work together on a variety of programs
related to human capital management, including the launch of HCM
20-Groups. The two parties will jointly create, craft content and
market HCM 20-Groups, dedicated to identifying the latest trends
and best practices in human capital management in the retail
automotive industry.
Local dealerships today face significant challenges when it
comes to hiring, with unemployment at a near 50-year low, and a war
for talent in a variety of fields, spanning technology to
healthcare to e-commerce. To overcome these challenges, Hireology
and NADA are combining their retail automotive expertise to train
dealers on improving their employment brand, putting employees at
the center of their business strategy and turning their people into
a source of competitive advantage.
"As new and used vehicle profit margins continue to decline,
hiring the right people is critical to dealership profitability,"
said Adam Robinson, Co-Founder and
CEO of Hireology. "But many dealers have an employment brand
problem, meaning job seekers don't see the great opportunity
dealership careers can offer. We're excited to work with NADA to
educate dealers across the country on best practices to improve
their people operations and as a result, drive profitability back
to their dealerships."
The strategic relationship was announced at Hireology's annual
Elevate conference, the only retail automotive summit dedicated to
human capital management. Each year, automotive HR leaders, general
managers and dealer principals meet to discuss the latest trends,
challenges and opportunities in hiring and human capital
management. At the event, attendees also outline actionable best
practices to improve their human capital management strategies.
Moving forward, Hireology and NADA will co-host the annual
summit.
"Within the retail automotive industry, we need to combine
forces and identify human capital management challenges, develop
solutions and support one another," said Steve Park, NADA's Sr. Director 20-Group and
Academy. "This relationship is aimed at addressing the
biggest gaps in recruitment, hiring, onboarding and training future
leaders in our industry."
Additional details about the strategic relationship will be
announced in the coming months.
