Nationwide Building Society (the "Society") announces Board
changes
Nationwide Building Society is pleased to announce the
appointment of Sally Orton as an independent Non-Executive Director
of the Society.
Sally Orton is a dual qualified chartered accountant in
Australia and the UK, with a career spanning 30 years in financial
services and professional services, bringing to the Board expertise
in audit, regulation and finance. Sally is currently Group Chief
Financial Officer (CFO) at GAM Holding AG and has previously held
CFO roles at LCH Ltd (part of the London Stock Exchange Group) and
Howden Broking Group. Sally started her career at KPMG in
Australia, moving to London in 1997 to join the Banking and Capital
Markets industry groups of PwC and then EY. She will join the
Nationwide Board and will be a member of the Audit Committee with
effect from 1 June 2023.
Nationwide also confirms that Gunn Waersted, the Board's Senior
Independent Director, will retire from the Society at the AGM in
July 2023. Subject to regulatory approval, Tracey Graham will
assume the role of the Senior Independent Director from Gunn
Waersted in July 2023.
As previously reported on 28 September 2022, Mai Fyfield will
also retire from the Board at the 2023 AGM.
