The company had a credit impairment charge of GBP608 million, down from forecasts of GBP1 billion. "Barclays Exceeds 3Q Market Expectations Despite Impairment Charge," at 0622 GMT, incorrectly said total income rose to GBP5.20 billion, and that credit impairment charges were forecast at GBP1 million.
