Lukoil PJSC on Wednesday reported an improved profit for the third quarter, reflecting higher production, prices and retail sales.

The Russian oil-and-gas company made a net profit of 192.5 billion rubles ($2.59 billion) for the three months ended Sept. 30, up from RUB189.8 billion for the second quarter.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization rose to RUB355.2 billion from RUB339.8 billion.

For the nine months through the end of September, net profit was RUB539.7 billion, swinging from a RUB14.3 billion loss a year earlier.
