                                  ANNOUNCEMENT

EXERCISE OF WARRANTS AND NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES IN DIRECTORS' SHAREHOLDINGS

Advanced Technology (UK) plc announces that it has today been informed that
Central Millennium Limited ("CML") has exercised its bonus issue warrant for
1,189,075 ordinary shares of 5 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") in the Company at
a price of 10 pence per share. The bonus issue warrant held by CML was awarded
to it pursuant to an issue of bonus issue warrants to all shareholders on 17
December 2002.

On exercise of the CML bonus issue warrant, 1,189,075 Ordinary Shares have been
allotted and application has been made for admission to AIM of those new
Ordinary Shares. Admission is expected to take place on 12 December 2003.

Following the exercise of the CML bonus issue warrant, various of the directors
of the Company, persons connected with them and others have agreed to acquire
1,189,075 Ordinary Shares from CML at a price of 16.25 pence per Ordinary Share
pursuant to a placing of those shares undertaken by Ruegg & Co Limited.

The details of the acquisitions of Ordinary Shares by directors of the Company
from CML are as follows:-

Greg Morgan 40,000

Clare Spottiswoode 123,050

John Howell 72,600

David Collinson 60,000

Following the acquisitions of shares by the directors of the Company referred to
above, the directors concerned have notified the Company of the following
beneficial interests in issued Ordinary Shares in the Company:-

John Howell (Managing Director) 169,100 Ordinary Shares (0.405%)

David Collinson (Finance Director) 93,500 Ordinary Shares (0.224%)

Clare Spottiswoode (Non-Executive Director) 216,333 Ordinary Shares (0.52%)

Greg Morgan (Chairman) 968,782 Ordinary Shares (2.32%).

On 17 November 2003 the Company announced that it had posted a reminder to
holders of warrants that the period for the exercise of warrants is due to
expire on 31 December 2003. While no further reminders will be posted, any
holders of warrants who wish to exercise warrants are reminded that notice of
exercise together with the appropriate subscription monies must be received by
the Company by close of business on 31 December 2003.
