Costco Wholesale Corp. said Wednesday it will boost its quarterly cash dividend by roughly 8%.

The dividend will now be 70 cents a share, up from 65 cents a share previously. On an annual basis, the dividend will be $2.80 a share, the company said.

The new dividend will be payable to shareholders of record on May 15.
