--Spain's Telefonica is considering selling its stake in subsidiary Telefonica Deutschland, exiting the German telecommunications market, WirtschaftsWoche reports, citing unnamed sources.

--Telefonica has been in initial discussions with investment banks, although it hasn't yet received any official acquisition inquiry for its stake in Telefonica Deutschland, which trades as O2, German business weekly WirtschaftsWoche said.

--Telcos without presence in Germany and financial investors appear to be eligible as buyers, according to WirtschaftsWoche.
