SOUTH BEND, Ind., March 21, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- AM General,
the leading manufacturer of light tactical vehicles, has received
an order to provide 739 new M1152A1 High Mobility Multipurpose
Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV) to the U.S. Army National Guard as a part
of their modernization initiatives valued at $89 million. This is in addition to the 740 new
HMMWVs ordered in October 2018.

The single cab, open cargo M1152A1 HMMWV variant is enhanced
with Integrated Armor Protection, can serve as a troop or cargo
transport vehicle, and is easily transportable by land, sea, or
air. Modernization enhancements include improvements to the
powertrain, suspension, cooling and electrical systems, and make
these new HMMWV's more powerful, rugged and reliable. Delivery of
this recent order of M1152A1 HMMWVs will begin in the third quarter
of 2019.
