75,000 attendees descended upon Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California during two weekends,
Oct. 7-9 and Oct. 14-16, to listen to cult favorites such as
Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Paul
McCartney, Neil Young and The
Who for the inaugural Desert Trip Festival.
Classic Party Rentals was on-site leading up to and throughout
both weekends, outfitting the music festival, held 30 miles east of
Palm Springs, with over 750,000
square feet of tenting as well as supplies to keep thousands of
music lovers fed and refreshed.
With more than 100 vendors serving a variety of culinary fare,
Desert Trip offered everything from wood-fired pizza to pad thai
and gluten-free options for guests. Classic Palm Desert supplied
200 propane tanks, fryers, refrigeration, convection ovens, grills
and flat tops for more than 20 of these vendors.
Classic also provided 10,000 pieces of glassware, 5,000 pieces
of china and 300 tables for vendors such as Best Beverage and
Wolfgang Puck Catering. Loads of furniture and 200 linear feet of
bar space was also supplied for the festival. Additionally, Classic
Palm Desert set up the structure for Sir Paul McCartney's after party, which included a
customized 18 meters x 25 meters arcum structure with interior
gables and a custom 18-meter arcum liner.
