Operational Update Shoats Creek ("Shoats") - Lutcher Moore ("LM") 13 Shallow Well,

Mayan Energy Ltd (AIM: MYN), the AIM listed oil and gas company, wishes to announce that results from the testing of the 2,900 formation have proved inconclusive, though as reported on 9 May 2017, they did offer support to the results indicated by earlier Roke Quad Neutron Log ("Roke") analysis.

Having now dealt with minor down hole problems which set progress back a few days, the Company is proceeding to perforate at the 710 foot level, where the Roke logs were strongly indicative of pay. Results from the work on the 710 foot level are expected during the course of this week.

Mayan has a 50.00% WI and 37.7% net revenue interest ("NRI") in the LM 13 Shallow Well.
