Impax Environmental Markets plc announces that on 13 January 2017 it purchased 750,000 of its own ordinary shares in the market at an average price of 219.73p per share. The highest price paid per ordinary share was 220.0p and the lowest price paid was 218.75p. These shares will be cancelled.

Following this share re-purchase, the Company's issued share capital will be 236,070,604 ordinary shares. The Company will be holding 45,698,109 of these shares in Treasury. Therefore, the total number of ordinary shares with voting rights in the Company will be 190,372,495.
