    Addworth plc
    ("Addworth" or the "Company")

    Trading Update

    The Board of Addworth plc (AIM: ADW) advises that for the six months ended 30 June 2008, the Company expects to announce a consolidated
loss of approximately �560,000 (30 June 2007: profit �19,108).  In addition, following the end of that period, Addworth disposed of one of
its investments, realising a book loss of approximately �350,000. 

    Current market conditions have meant Addworth has faced some challenging conditions this year and as a result has not brought a company
to the PLUS or AIM markets to date.

    However, the Board is moving quickly to address this and is re-evaluating the business model to focus strategically on becoming more
cash generative with a reduced overhead and where income is derived primarily from services rather than investment activities.  In addition
the Company intends to utilise its Clerkenwell offices to incubate growing businesses and has a number of projects which it is currently
looking to transaction-manage.  Despite challenging conditions, the Company remains positive that it will be able to bring some companies to
the market in the next six months and continue growing its core stable of underlying investments.

    Further details and the interim report for 30 June 2008 will be announced in due course.
