--Swiss insurer Zurich Insurance Group AG is in talks to buy Liberty Mutual Group's units in Ireland, Spain and Portugal that were put up for sale last year and could be worth more than 1 billion euros ($1.07 billion), The Irish Times reports, citing unnamed sources.

--A deal would make Zurich the second-largest insurer in Ireland after France's AXA SA, according to The Irish Times.
