Deutsche Post AG's (DPW.XE) DHL Express business has opened a new hub in Madrid.

The German freight-and-logistics group said Wednesday that it has invested 93 million euros ($105.7 million) in the new hub, which will quadruple DHL's package-sorting capacity in Madrid and create 200 new jobs.

"This new hub is a critical nexus between Europe and the LatAm countries," said Miguel Borras, managing director of DHL Express Spain and Portugal.
