Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers;
Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On May 17, 2019, Mr. Robert A. Peiser resigned as a
member of the board of directors of SunCoke Energy, Inc. (the “
Company
”), and as Chair of the Compensation Committee thereof. Mr. Peiser’s resignation is solely due to personal reasons, and does not arise from any
disagreement with the Company, or its management, on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices, or regarding the general direction of the Company.
