announce that its in-house creative boutique, OUTFRONT Studios, has
won six OBIE Awards for Best Advertising in the Nonprofits and
Public Service and Contextual OOH categories. The company was also
named a finalist for eight different campaigns they lead in the
Custom Installation, Entertainment and Food & Beverage
categories.
OUTFRONT Studios is the first of its kind within the out-of-home
(OOH) industry, focused on bringing the best in original creative
and outdoor advertising to brands, both local and national, looking
to make a statement.
Now in its 75th year, the OBIE Awards program is the oldest and
one of the most prestigious shows in advertising, awarding creative
excellence in the out of home medium. The 75th OBIE Awards
ceremony was held in New Orleans
on Tuesday, May 16 during the 2017
OAAAGeopath National Convention + Expo.
OUTFRONT Media's in-house creative boutique OUTFRONT Studios was
this year recognized for a multitude of campaigns connecting
communities and highlighting public service organizations. Notably,
the company deployed billboards encouraging citizens to get out and
vote in the 2016 election through humorous copy. The advertising
pioneer was also recognized with Silver OBIE Awards in the
Nonprofits and Public Service categories for its creative tributes
honoring legendary female basketball player Pat Summit, celebrating
boxing star Muhammad Ali with a
heart made of boxing gloves, installing purple billboards of
Prince's "Love Symbol" and scrolling David
Bowie's evocative Starman lyrics over cities nationwide in
light of their passing.

tributes along with McDonald's "You Know You Want Some" Contextual
OOH campaign each garnered a Bronze OBIE award. A testament to
OUTFRONT Studios' game changing presence in the advertising space,
the creative boutique's work also received finalist accolades for
eight other campaigns in the Custom Installation, Food &
Beverage and Entertainment categories.

2015 Silver OBIE award for its work with Vimeo.
