General Motors Co. (GM) said its dealerships delivered 738,638
vehicles in the U.S. in the third quarter, up 6.3% on year.
GM said its fleet mix of total sales was 19.5%, down
three-tenths of a percent from the year-ago period.
End of September inventory was 759,633 units, GM said.
Shares were down 3.5% in morning trading to $34.86, continuing
losses from the previous day.
GM said Tuesday that a parts shortage stemming from a United
Auto Workers strike in the U.S. led it to idle a pickup-truck
factory in Mexico.
