--Ford Motor Co. (F) has issued a recall for over 500,000 pickup trucks in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, citing the possibility of an interior fire following a crash, Reuters reports Friday.

--The auto maker said a seat-belt pretensioner could create excess sparks during a crash, which in turn could ignite interior carpeting, according to the report.

--The recall covers 547,538 trucks, the report said.
