Dee Dee Myers, a former press secretary for President Bill
Clinton, is taking over communications for Hollywood film and
television studio Warner Bros.
Ms. Myers on Wednesday was named head of corporate
communications and public affairs for Time Warner Inc.'s Warner
Bros., where she will oversee world-wide communications for the
company, as well as its philanthropic endeavors.
She was chosen by Warner Bros. Chief Executive Kevin Tsujihara,
who took over the studio a year ago, to replace Susan Fleishman,
who had held the communications post for nearly a decade.
After leaving the White House in 1994, Ms. Myers worked as an
author and political commentator. Since 2010, she has been managing
director of the Glover Park Group, a communications and lobbying
firm in Washington, D.C.
She isn't the first political veteran to move into a similar job
in Hollywood. The head of corporate communications at Walt Disney
Co. also come from politics, as did the former head of corporate
communications for Sony Corp.'s Sony Pictures Entertainment.
