Company recognized for excellence in product
that provides commercial and industrial users with energy savings
and revenue
Voltus, Inc. (“Voltus”), the leading distributed energy resource
(DER) software platform, announced today that it has received a Top
Product of the Year Award in the elite Environment + Energy Leader
Awards program for its DER technology platform, VoltAppTM.
The VoltApp platform monetizes and connects distributed energy
resources to every wholesale electricity market in the US and
Canada. Voltus customers generate revenue by allowing their DERs to
be dispatched to support the grid in response to market signals.
Through VoltApp, Voltus manages nearly 2,600 megawatts across every
type of DER, offering an intuitive, centralized platform where DER
asset owners can manage their participation across multiple
locations.
One judge said about VoltApp, “This product provides a critical
missing link in the electricity market to better connect customers
with more opportunities to engage in the wholesale electricity
markets.” Another judge said, “When a solution provides energy
savings and revenue to the customer, the chances of success are
high. This product does both." A third judge added, “It is also
admirable that the product has applications such as emergency
relief."
“Voltus’s technology and expertise allows grid operators and DER
asset owners to take advantage of the critical grid-balancing
benefits that DERs provide, which are especially important in
today’s volatile energy markets,” said Dana Guernsey, Chief Product
Officer at Voltus. “By connecting these resources to electricity
markets, Voltus is helping to build a more resilient, affordable,
and clean electric grid.”
The Environment + Energy Leader Awards is a program recognizing
excellence in products and services that provide companies with
energy and environmental benefits, and in projects implemented by
companies that improve environmental or energy management. Past
Environment + Energy Leader Award winners include Schneider
Electric, Ameresco, and Procter & Gamble.
About the Environment + Energy Leader Awards For the past
