STARLIMS Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq:LIMS ), a leading provider of laboratory information management systems (LIMS), today announced that at its special meeting of shareholders held today, STARLIMS's shareholders approved the terms and conditions of the previously announced acquisition of STARLIMS by Abbott (NYSE:ABT), the global health care company.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions. Under Israeli law, at least 30 days must have elapsed after the approval of the acquisition by the shareholders of STARLIMS before the acquisition may become effective. STARLIMS and Abbott expect to complete the transaction by March 31, 2010.
