May 09 2017 - 5:34PM
American National (NASDAQ:ANAT) claims teams are on the ground to
assist policyholders whose property sustained damage in the wake of
the recent hail event in Colorado.
The following information is also being distributed
to help those looking to make claims and start any clean-up
efforts.
Claim Reporting: Visit a local
agent’s office or call the American National 24-hour claims hotline
at 1.800.333.2860.
When property claims are reported, ask about
services that may be available to you. Repair-related receipts
should be saved so they can be included in claim reports.
For vehicle damage, appraisers will be available to
assist with inspections. For policyholders who have obtained
estimates, they can be forwarded to American National for
review.
Claim Payment: American National
offers direct deposit for payments to policyholders. Ask your claim
representative about direct deposit of insurance proceeds.
Contractor Selection Tips:
American National also offers several informational resources that
may be useful to policyholders recovering from storms. For example,
information specifically related to impact resistant roofing and
roofing contractor selection.
Department of Insurance Resources:
The Colorado Division of Insurance offers these helpful tips to
stay money smart after storm damage, including the following:
- Start the claim process quickly

for consumers.
