Shareholders of ABX Holdings (NASDAQ: ABXA) re-elected two directors, approved a proposal to change the name of the Company, ratified the appointment of auditors and approved a stockholder proposal at their annual meeting here today. Directors re-elected to three-year terms on the ABX Holdings board were James H. Carey, 75, and John D. Geary, 81. Carey, Executive Vice President (Retired) of the Chase Manhattan Bank, has been the Chairman of the Board of the Company since May 2004 and has been a Director since August 2003. Geary, President and Chief Executive Officer (Retired) of Midland Enterprises, Inc., has been a director of the Company since January 2004. Both are members of the Nominating and Governance Committee, and the Compensation Committee. Shareholders also approved a proposal to amend the Company�s Certificate of Incorporation to change the name of the Company from ABX Holdings, Inc. to Air Transport Services Group, Inc. The meeting included a review of the Company�s operations for 2007 and the first quarter of 2008, and an overview of the Company�s strategy by President and Chief Executive Officer Joseph C. Hete. Hete said, �We are pleased our shareholders agree that the name �Air Transport Services Group, Inc.� better reflects our business after the acquisition of Cargo Holdings International, Inc. We are able to offer our customers a broader line of services, and we have fulfilled a principal element of our strategy to strengthen our business by diversifying our revenue base.� The change of the company�s name will not affect outstanding stock certificates or the trading of the Company�s common shares on the NASDAQ Global Market. Shareholders also ratified the appointment of Deloitte & Touche LLP as the Company�s independent registered public accounting firm for fiscal 2008, and approved a stockholder proposal concerning the Company�s preferred stock rights plan.
