Sanofi SA said Tuesday that its shareholders didn't back a resolution for the 2019 compensation of former Chief Executive Olivier Brandicourt at its annual general meeting.

The French pharmaceutical major said the final financial terms of Mr. Brandicourt's departure would be communicated subsequently.

The company said shareholders backed all other resolutions, including the distribution of a cash dividend of 3.15 euros ($3.41) a share as of May 6.
