ROME--Italy's Energy Authority on Friday set new prices for gas and electricity, effective Jan. 1.

Gas prices will be 92.78 euro cents for a cubic meter, up 1.54 cents or 1.74% from the fourth quarter of 2012, the regulator said.

Electricity prices will be reduced by 1.4%, the regulator said.

The periodic changes to regulated prices will impact the businesses of Enel SpA (ENEL.MI), Eni SpA (E), Terna SpA (TRN.MI) and Snam SpA (SRG.MI).
