Bluejay Mining PLC (JAY.LN) said Tuesday that it has reached an
agreement with a Rio Tinto PLC (RIO.LN) subsidiary to help analyze
titanium ore from its Dundas project in Greenland.
The mining company said it has reach an agreement with Rio Tinto
Iron and Titanium Canada Inc. to analyze ilmenite--the most
important ore of titanium--taken from its wholly owned Dundas
project.
Rio Tinto will analyze the ore, including a smelter test sample,
at its plant in Quebec, Canada, Bluejay Mining said, adding that
the two companies will work together to review and improve on the
technical work that has been completed at the project to date.
Bluejay Mining said that Rio Tinto can terminate the agreement
at any time and that there is no guarantee the assessment of its
ilmenite will lead to a long-term transaction between the two
companies.
