LAS VEGAS, Apr. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Swarm
Technologies LLC announced today that their SmartBee Controllers
began shipping its innovative wireless controller & sensor
systems to the hydroponics market. The product line
includes The Hive™ controller which integrates all the SmartBee™
wireless sensors into a mesh networked system that all work
together giving the hydroponics grower a Networked Garden™ for more
control of an indoor or greenhouse garden.
The product release of the SmartBee Premier Environmental System
includes the Hive™ controller, the SmartBee™ LTH (light Temperature
Humidity)/CO2 sensor and the Smart Stinger™ 4 power
strip. All of these and future products are operating
on the Zigbee Pro mesh network that allows The Hive™ to wirelessly
communicate with up to thousands of SmartBee sensors. A
custom designed Graphical User Interface (GUI) allows for remote
monitoring and control from any smart phone, tablet or PC.
The SmartBee™ GUI includes customizable alerts, thresholds and
notifications via text or email for timed zoned irrigation control,
lighting control and environmental control. This gives
horticulturists complete remote control, whether it's a 10 light
grow room or 5000 light commercial operation. The SmartBee
Controllers system can expand as an operation grows, giving
flexibility to start small and easily increase environmental
control as needed. Plus it is made in the U.S.A.
The Hive™ is the center of the system and is the main portal for
all wireless communications with the SmartBee™ sensors and through
the internet to the gardener's mobile device or PC. The Hive™
delivers continuous, secure data from the sensors which allows the
gardener to monitor and control based on the User Interface
graphics. The Stinger™ Smart Strip 4 has four independently
controlled outlets that allow a gardener to turn on or off each
connected devices that are controlled by the SmartBee™ Hive Gateway
via a smart device.
Another SmartBee™ product includes a wireless Water Content
Sensor Module (WCSM) with up to six connected probes. The
wireless WCSM assists growers to monitor their plant's irrigation
needs based on actual water content rather than just watering
time. The WCSM gives the grower the data needed to determine
the amount of water the plants are using. Once the set points
are in place, the Hive Gateway gathers and analyzes the sensor data
and can water as required. This maximizes the efficiency of
the irrigation plan, saving water and enhancing results.
The Company has begun installing SmartBee™ systems in several
large grow facilities in Colorado,
Nevada and Washington through its Commercial Consulting
Division. Commercial operations should contact the SmartBee
commercial consulting group for a free evaluation and quote.
Swarm Technologies will be exhibiting the complete SmartBee™
product line at the 2015 Maximum Yield Indoor Gardening Expo in
Los Angeles, CA July 25-26, 2015.
The products are sold under the SmartBee™ brand through all
major grow stores in the U.S. and Canada or directly through the
www.smartbeecontrollers.com web site.
