Yen Slides After Germany, France Agree To Protect Europe

(RTTNews) - The yen that retreated from its European session's highs against other major currencies has been falling in the early New York session on Friday amid reports that German Chancellor Merkel and French PM Hollande agreed to do anything to protect Europe.
The yen is now trading at 1-week lows of 123.40 against the pound, against the euro, 80.56 against the franc, 81.91 against the aussie, 77.92 against the loonie and 63.31 against the kiwi.
