Amidst the prestigious Vinitaly event, scheduled for
14-17 April 2024, the wine2digital
spaces at Veronafiere will host two captivating Masterclasses, each
dedicated to exploring distinct corners of the viticultural world:
Veneto, Italy, and the Western
Cape of South Africa. Though
belonging to opposite hemispheres, these regions share a remarkable
geographic alignment, both nestled between the same meridians.
VERONA, Italy, March 28,
2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Veneto, renowned for its iconic Italian wines
such as Prosecco and Amarone, sits proudly in the northern
hemisphere as one of Italy's
premier wine regions. Meanwhile, at the opposite end of the globe,
South Africa boasts its own rich
viticultural heritage, with districts like Stellenbosch, Swartland
and Franschhoek producing world-class wines. Despite their
geographical distance, both Veneto
and South Africa's wine regions
share an intriguing connection: they lie on the same meridian.
Attendees joining both sessions will have
the opportunity to compare the wines of Veneto with those from
the wine regions of Elgin, Swartland, and Stellenbosch. Both areas
are renowned for producing exceptional white wines and high-quality
sparkling wines.
