BROOKFIELD, Wis., Oct. 17, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The 2021 Volkswagen ID.4, the first-ever Volkswagen electric vehicle to be sold in the USA, can be reserved at Hall Volkswagen near Milwaukee. Interested parties are encouraged to do so quickly, to ensure that they get their 2021 Volkswagen ID.4 models at the time of the vehicle's release. Model availability upon the vehicle's initial release cannot be guaranteed without a reservation.

The 2021 Volkswagen ID.4 is a two-row crossover SUV similar in size to the current generation Volkswagen Tiguan. It has an estimated single-charge range of 250 miles. With an L2 charger from Volkswagen partner Electrify Home, the 2021 ID.4 is capable of charging 33 miles of range in one hour. To reach full charge at that rate is estimated at just over 7.5 hours. Commercial direct-current fast charging stations will fill the ID.4 battery packs to 80 percent in 38 minutes. The 2021 ID.4 comes with three years of unlimited free charging at Electrify America charging stations across the continental U.S. Though pending at the time of writing, the 2021 Volkswagen ID.4 is also likely to be eligible for the $7,500 U.S. federal tax credit available on most other electric vehicles. Initial ID.4 models are rear-wheel drive only, but all-wheel drive variants are expected to reach the market soon thereafter.
