DETROIT, Sept. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Jennifer
Gilbert, Founder and CEO of Amber Engine (amberengine.com),
announced today that the Detroit-based home furnishings services and
solutions technology company has made strategic changes and has
secured additional investment to further position itself as a
leader in the home furnishings product data management technology
space.
Amber Engine is leveraging key takeaways from the launch of its
beta retailer software solution earlier this year. The company is
evolving its offering to approximately 30 partnering retailers and
more than 90 brands to help solve the industry-wide problem of
managing product data. Amber Engine's mission is to provide the
most complete, accurate and timely record of product data for the
home furnishings industry. This in an effort to support consumers'
demand for quality information about the products they shop for,
both online and in store.
Amber Engine has refined its focus to provide unique value to
different industry segments, rather than a single solution for all
of its partners. In doing so, Amber Engine will work with a select
group of retailers to evolve its technology-based offering.
"As a market leader, we are committed to leveraging our
learnings and key partnerships to shape the future of the home
furnishings industry for the benefit of those we serve," said
Gilbert.
"I believe Amber Engine is trying to do a very useful initiative
in our industry. It's an antiquated industry that doesn't talk to
each other, that has a lot of mis and disinformation -- to try to
get information, organize it and then be able to publish it out to
people who need it is crucial," stated Eric
Magun, Vice President of Regina Andrew Design.
Amber Engine's refined structure, footprint and increased
investment in innovation are in recognition of the changing needs
of the home furnishings industry. Gilbert expects Amber Engine's
emphasis on these needs will ultimately deliver greater value to
customers, increase the company's competitive advantage and drive
growth and profitability.
"Amber Engine isn't here just to disrupt, they're actually here
to unify and put people on the same page and benefit everybody. The
rising tide lifts all ships. I believe what they're trying to do is
something that's going to elevate the industry and benefit not only
the manufacturers but also the retailers," said Lael Thompson, COO of Broyhill Home
Collections.
As part of its evolution, Amber Engine is pleased to name
AnnMarie Stenglein as its Vice
President of Marketing. Stenglein will work as part of Amber
Engine's leadership team of industry experts to oversee the
evolution of its go-to-market strategy. Stenglein has more than 15
years of progressive experience in brand strategy, global
marketing, business development and international team leadership.
She previously served as the Leader of Cloud Global Demand Programs
at IBM.
Amber Engine will host a breakout session while at NEXT
Technology Conference September 25-27
and will also appear at High Point Market October 14-18.
