Siemens AG (SIE.XE) said Tuesday that it has received an order valued at 280 million euros ($314.2 million) to supply components and services for a combined-cycle power plant under construction in Iraq.

The German engineering group will supply gas turbines, a steam turbine and the main transformers for the 840-megawatt plant, which will generate power for more than 3 million Iraqis.

Chinese construction group CITIC Construction Co. is overseeing the project, which is scheduled to start up in 2021 and ramp up to full capacity in 2022.
