NEW YORK, June 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Building on plans to expand its market share in North America, Marimekko announces a series of new shop-in-shop locations in some of the region's most notable department and specialty home stores. The new destinations feature curated collections of ceramics, glassware and home textiles, highlighted with a selection of the brand's vibrant bags and accessories.

Known for simple, clean, functional design suited to everyday living, Canada's EQ3 stores specialize in furniture and custom upholstery, a service that will now feature Marimekko's signature textiles as well. "The recent Liberty Village shop-in-shop opening was a great success and we look forward to expanding our locations and offerings with a palette of exciting new Marimekko designs," says EQ3 CEO Peter Tielmann. EQ3 Winnipeg, Montreal, Brossard, Calgary, Ottawa, Toronto-King and Emeryville San Francisco openings will take place during the month of July. 

Mexico's leading department store, El Palacio de Hierro, brings 120 years of integrity and a refinement to a sophisticated customer.
