Some Verizon Communications Inc. (VZ) customers in several
states lost internet service Monday morning, but the company said
the issue has been resolved.
The outage affected customers in Massachusetts, Rhode Island,
New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Virginia,
according to tweets Verizon's customer-service account sent Monday
morning.
"There was an intermittent disruption in internet service for
some FiOS customers," a spokesman said, referring to what the
company calls its fiber-optic network. "Our engineers have resolved
the issue and internet traffic is returning to normal."
