SQM ANNOUNCES TEMPORARY DETENTION OF OPERATIONS IN SALAR DE ATACAMA

Santiago, Chile, January 13, 2024 – Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A. (SQM) (NYSE: SQM; Santiago Stock Exchange: SQM-A, SQM-B, the “Company”) informs that, due to the continuous blocking of the main roads for access to the Salar de Atacama site, the Company has decided to detain its operations until it becomes possible to operate normally again.

At the moment, it is not possible to estimate any financial impact of the detention, as we do not have enough information to estimate for how long the road blockage will continue.
