Natural Gas Companies' Shares Lose Ground as Prices Hit Three-Year Low

Shares of many natural gas companies are trading in the red near
the end of Monday's regular trading session, as prices for the
commodity closed Monday at a three-year low.
With less than 30 minutes left before the bell, Range Resources
Corp. (RRC) saw its shares fall 8.41%, trading at $4.73. Volume was
very heavy, with almost 17 million shares trading, above the 65-day
average volume of some 8.9 million.
EQT Corp. (EQT) shares were 4.54% lower at $13.66 per share.
Volume of just over 6 million shares was above the 65-day average
of 4.1 million shares.
Other companies losing ground included Encana Corp. (ECA), down
1.95% at $4.11, and Southwestern Energy Co. (SWN), which lost 6.62%
to trade at $1.90. Pioneer Natural Resources Co. (PXD), whose
shares fell 2.01% to $132.95, and Apache Corp. (APA), whose shares
dropped 2.32% to trade at $23.37.
