NEW DELHI--Ford Motor Co. (F) is recalling about 42,300 of its
recently-launched Figo hatchbacks and Figo Aspire compact sedans in
India to fix a potential software problem that may affect the
functioning of airbags.
The affected cars were produced at Ford's factory at Sanand in
western India's Gujarat state starting from their launch last year
through this month, the auto maker's local unit said Friday.
Ford India said it will upgrade the so-called restraint control
module in the cars free of cost for customers.
