Barclays PLC (BARC.LN) has been fined $15 million by the New
York State Department of Financial Services in connection to
actions the bank took regarding a whistleblower.
On May 11, the U.K. bank's Chief Executive Jes Staley was fined
642,430 pounds ($809,602) over his efforts to unmask a
whistleblower.
At the time, Barclays said discussions with U.S. authorities
were ongoing.
The bank said Tuesday that Barclays Bank PLC and Barclays Bank
PLC, New York Branch, have now reached a settlement with New York's
Department of Financial Services regarding the same issues.
All regulatory investigations relating to these events are now
concluded, Barclays said.
