Danish Krone Rises To 4-day High Against Dollar

Tuesday morning in New York, the Denmark currency climbed to a
4-day high against the US dollar. Pulling back from yesterday's
5-day low of 5.3844, the Danish krone advanced to 5.3137 against
the greenback around 8:25 am ET. The dollar-krone pair that closed
yesterday's deals at 5.3685 is presently quoted at 5.3178.
The Danish krone is pegged to the euro since January 1, 1999.
Prior to the introduction of the euro, the Danish Krone was pegged
to the German Mark. The reference rate for the euro-krone pair is
at 7.4603.
