Daimler AG said Thursday that it is proposing that Bernd
Pischetsrieder to be new chairman of its supervisory board,
replacing Manfred Bischoff, whose mandate will expire after the
annual general meeting in March.
The German car maker said it will also propose three candidates
for election at its annual general meeting on March 31 to replace
board members whose mandates will end soon.
Mr. Pischetsrieder has been a member of the supervisory board
since 2014, Daimler said.
Daimler will propose for election to the supervisory board
Elizabeth Centoni, currently senior vice president of Cisco
Strategy; Royal Dutch Shell PLC Chief Executive Ben van Beurden;
and the board chairman of BASF SE, Martin Brudermueller, it
said.
As well as current supervisory board chairman Mr. Bischoff,
Petraea Heynike and Juergen Hambrecht will be also stepping down
from the board on March 31, Daimler said.
