LONDON--Wincanton PLC (WIN.LN), a logistics provider, Monday
said it has won a contract with defense giant BAE Systems PLC
(BA.LN) to supply services to its military air and information
operations, without disclosing financial details.
The contract, involving goods management and inspection, storage
and packing, and transportation services in BAE Systems MAI
Samlesbury and Warton sites, will begin immediately, Wincanton
said.
Wincanton will also become the operator of a new logistics
center in Samlesbury, due to be completed in 2016.
Shares closed Friday at 184 pence, valuing the company at GBP224
million ($349 million).
