COV Cove Energy

LONDON--PTTEP Africa Investment Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Ltd. (PTTEP.TH) said late Thursday that as at 0900 GMT on Aug. 23, PTTEP AI had received valid acceptances from Cove Energy PLC (COV.LN) shareholders in respect of 497.85 million shares, or 97.82%.

MAIN FACTS:

-Cove has applied to the London Stock Exchange for the cancellation of the admission to trading of Cove shares on AIM and this is expected to take effect on or shortly after 0600 GMT on Sept. 18.

-Offer remains open until further notice.

-Cove Energy shares closed Thursday at 240 pence valuing the company at 1.22 billion pounds.
