    Pocket Penguins begin Canadian adventure.  

    BKN International AG signs co-production with Canadian animation company in time for MIPCOM.  

    BKN announced today that its Barcelona (BKN New Media SL) and London (BKN New Media Ltd)companies have signed a co-production agreement
with Huminah Huminah animation incorporated in Nova Scotia, Canada to produce a 2D computer animation series in High Definition called
POCKET PENGUIN ADVENTURES.

The new production will be all digital, all high definition animation fully realized using the Toon Boom software package. The series will
meet Canadian and European quotas.  All scripts, music and post production being done in the UK, pre-production elements will be performed
in Canada, and digital animation will be performed in Spain.
    
The series will include 52 x11' episodes with delivery of the first 26 episodes scheduled for spring 2010 and the remaining 26 episodes for
Fall 2010.

    Set somewhere amongst the chilly lands of the Southern Hemisphere, Chilly Bird Island is home to a very special breed of those most
adorable of all birds*The Pocket Penguins! Although Pocket Penguins inhabit a world of fun and adventure, it's not all fish sticks and
chilly shakes! Our Pocket Penguins must work together, always sharing their talents, to stay one webbed foot ahead of the bumbling bad guy,
Fisherschmidt.

    "Targeting the age group of 4-7, our plan is to captivate our audience with simple but sophisticated and funny scripts written here in
the UK," states Nicola Andrews, Managing Director of BKN New Media Ltd.  "While the characters that populate this magical world, and the
stories we will tell will be the key, the crystal clear high definition animation will add a level of quality to this show that we believe
is ground breaking."

    Adam Mimnagh, Owner and Producer at Huminah Huminah Animation is very excited about the new venture.  Having recently been part of the
Chaotic and Speed Racer - The Next Generation animation productions, Adam adds "Pocket Penguins is a delightful series.  I was very
impressed with the quality of the pilot episode which I believe Canadian broadcasters will really warm to, and given our expertise in Toon
Boom we know we can do pre-production work that will make the series 'pop' right out of your TV".

    "Our team here in Barcelona are experienced producers of animation", states Laura Tapias, Managing Director of BKN's Spanish arm. 
"Unlike our other successful properties which target a slightly older age group, we're looking forward to the challenge of producing
something for this younger audience which will rely more on stimulating the viewer with bright colours and visual humour, rather than the
action we pack into a current animation series".
